
Rules to Qualify for the 2023 FIFG FootGolf World Cup in Orlando, USA
To have a chance to qualify for the 2023 FIFG FootGolf World Cup, players have to:
a) Be a registered FootGolf Australia member with World Tour licence for 2022
b) Play a minimum of 4 AUS 100 and 1 AUS 250 competitions in the 2022 Australian Open Footgolf Series as a registered player (1.a).
Available spots - Individual Competition
a) 16 Men (aged 18+)
b) 6 Seniors (aged 46+)
c) 6 Women (aged 18+)
The number of spots available is yet to be confirmed by the FIFG.
Qualifying
There are three different qualification tiers for the FIFG FootGolf World Cup 2023.
Tier 1
- Spots allocated: 8 Men | 3 Seniors | 3 Women
- Australian Ranking:
- Best 8 scores for AUS100
- Best 2 scores for AUS250
- The score for the AUS500
Tier 2
- Spots allocated: 4 Men | 2 Seniors | 2 Women
- Australian Grand Slam
- Sum of the best 3 scores out of the 3 AUS250 and the AUS500
- All 4 competitions will be awarded 250 points for this ranking
Tier 3
- Spots allocated: 4 Men | 1 Seniors | 1 Women
- A play-off event either at the end of 2022 or at the beginning of 2023
- Open to everyone who plays a minimum of:
- 4 x AUS100
- 1 x AUS250
Exemptions can be granted due to player injury or special circumstances
Spots awarded to Australian players via the World Tour or the Asia-Pacific Ranking will be freed for other Australian players at one spot per Tier following the Tier system:
- first spot to Tier 1,
- second spot to Tier 2,
- third spot to Tier 3,
- fourth spot back to Tier 1
